Winner of the “Kyiv Pectoral” theatrical award.
This thoughtful drama about love by Alexander Vampilov has long since become a modern classic. The play hits upon the deepest truths of life, the knowledge of the human heart, moral maximalism, uncompromising feelings, truly a Chekhov-like demand of a man and the sharing of his pain.
Passions flare in a small village tea-house around a girl named Valentina. Each of the visitors to the tea-house is in love, as is Valentina. Each of the heroes suffers, but only Valentina will be able to unravel this hopelessly entangled ball of love.
